According to Mikheev, work is being done with Indian private and public organizations on the organization of joint production of aviation weapons and their integration with the existing aviation fleet in India.

Mikheev noted that Rosoboronexport was operating under conditions similar to the requirements of the Make In India program long before it was adopted. Rosoboronexport general manager emphasized that there is now a factory producing Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifles in India and that it will be fully localized at a certain stage.
