The airport announced that flights will be postponed until noon on October 11. They are scheduled to restart at 14:00 Moscow time. A message was published on the airport’s page on the social network X (formerly Twitter) stating that all flights were suspended until 12:00 on October 11.
The fire that broke out in the parking lot caused partial destruction of the building structures. One civilian and six firefighters were injured by the smoke, emergency officials said. According to the Telegraph, the fire started on the top floor of the airport’s multi-storey car park, after which witnesses heard multiple explosions. After that the car alarms started going off.
