But if you’re one of the few people who doesn’t have baking soda at home (even though it’s one of the most commonly used natural products in cleaning tasks), you can always use another product you probably have (or should have) at home: tooth paste.

Clean the iron with toothpaste

The chemical composition of fluoride and others in toothpaste makes them ideal for this type of cleaning as they are effective in removing limescale.

First you need toothpaste and a clean cloth. carefully and the iron unplugged and spread the cold paste on the ironing board and rub gently with a clean cloth. Then activate the steam function for five minutes and let it rest. Once heated, wipe with a cloth and remove any remaining cream. You are already ready!
