Rain caused flight delays and cancellations at Istanbul airports 22:42

There were delays and cancellations of flights at airports in Istanbul due to heavy rain. RIA News.

Heavy rains have been continuing for several hours in Istanbul. Flooding was observed in some areas on the outskirts of the city. Forecasters warned that a new disaster was expected from 22:00 Moscow time and that it would rain all night.

Previously at Moscow airports dead major flight delays. Nine flights to Domodedovo, 11 to Vnukovo and three to Sheremetyevo were delayed or canceled.

It is not yet known why the delays occurred. On September 10, Moscow airports reported delays in 20 flights.

As of 13:00 Moscow time, seven flights to Domodedovo were postponed and three more were canceled. In Vnukovo, seven flights were delayed and one was canceled, and in Sheremetyevo, eight flights were delayed. The reasons for the delays were not reported.

Before that, four flights were canceled and nine more flights were postponed at Moscow airports on the morning of September 9.
