Russian military aircraft IL-76M-90 made an emergency landing at Yekaterinburg airport. Telegram channel reports this “Attention, news”.
It was recorded that the incident occurred at around 20:00 the day before September 21. The plane took off from Koltsovo airport towards Rostov-on-Don, but while climbing, one of the plane’s navigation systems malfunctioned.
The ship’s commander decided to return to Yekaterinburg. The aircraft was met on the ground by a rescue team; It made a successful landing at 22:00 and was then towed away for further examination by technicians.
There was no damage to the plane and there were no hazardous materials on board.
The Il-76MD-90A is an improved version of the Il-76 aircraft, which entered service with the Russian Ministry of Defense on 29 April 2015.
