After meeting again with (young) Obi-Wan Kenobi (and Vader) or the ‘Stranger Things’ gang, this week is time to meet with Birgitte Nyborg, the political force of ‘Borgen’ after almost a decade. Below is all of our offers.
1. ‘Parliament (season 2)’: crooked corridors of power
After the surprise of its first season, this highly satirical political comedy returns with ten new episodes, ten new adventures of Samy Cantor (Xavier Lacaille), a young and somewhat troubled parliamentarian, now serving the ambitious Valentine Cantel (Georgia Scalliet). Cantor also has a new girlfriend: aspiring environmentalist Lydia (Anaïs Parello). It will be another hilarious dive into the disagreements and alliances of European parliamentary coalitions. The movie is on Tuesday, May 31.
2. ‘Borgen: Kingdom, power and glory’: a legend reappears
Almost ten years after its last episodes, the legendary ‘Borgen’ reappears, Man Price this has turned audiences from around the world into experts in Danish coalition governments. Pilou Asbaek is missing from too many artistic (and political) commitments, but not great Sidse Babet Knudsen Like Birgitte Nyborg, who is now foreign secretary in a government shared by the New Democrats and Labor Party. Netflix, Thursday, June 2nd.
3. ‘The Boys (season 3)’: never seen, really
In an interview to be published by ‘El Periódico’, Eric KripkeThe former TV nerd behind this adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book rejoices for a certain moment in the new season’s opening episode. And with good reason: it’s a shock. Things can only go downhill after that, but Billy Butcher is intrigued as to what will happen (karl urban) be super for a day thanks to a new formula. 4. ‘Demons (season 2)’: sharks without brakes
While we await new episodes of ‘Billions’, it’s nice to get close to this other financial drama where in its second season Brexit, electric cars and the Cambridge Analytics scandal happily intersect. 5. ‘Physical (season 2)’: to perform with sweat
rose byrne She returns as Sheila Rubin, the flawed wife and housewife who sees a way out of her prison and her bulimia in her obsessive aerobics practice. This unlikely Jane Fonda encounters a new enemy in season two: Vincent ‘Vinnie’ Green (Murray Bartlett, ‘Looking’ and ‘The White Lotus), a true weight loss guru. The trailer develops a sense of humor just as acidic as the first season. Apple TV+ starting Friday 3rd.
