SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet subscribers exceeded 400 thousand. About informs CNBC channel.

Such data was provided to the Federal Communications Commission by the company itself. Starlink operates in 48 US states and 36 countries. In the near future, the company plans to start operating in many countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Not only Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Venezuela are included in the close-ups.

The network was launched in October 2020. The number of subscribers reached 145 thousand at the beginning of 2022, and 250 thousand until March.

Starlink is Elon Musk’s global high-speed satellite internet project. Its main advantages should be usability and low signal latency, and therefore satellites are placed in low orbits. In this context, there would have to be tens of thousands of satellites, of which about two thousand were launched, to completely cover the Earth.
