The press service of the office of the mayor of Anapa recalled that dolphins often swim close to the shore, following shoals of fish. Marine mammals are now accustomed to tourists and understand that they are not dangerous.
“Scientists state that bottlenose dolphins, that is, these dolphin species living in the Black Sea, are distinguished by their extraordinary curiosity and friendliness,” the municipality said in a statement.
Nevertheless, tourists are advised not to lose their attention, as dolphins are quite large and may accidentally bump into swimmers while playing or hunting.
