British edition of The Telegraph published employee Use of cluster munitions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
According to the publication, this type of ammunition is used by the Separate Motor Rifle Brigade named after the Grand Prince Roman. It is also expected to be used near Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut).
It was noted that the area affected by such ammunition was about three football fields.

Cluster munitions are munitions that, when detonated, release smaller submunitions. If the latter do not explode at the time of use, they can pose a danger to the civilian population later on. Cluster munitions are prohibited by the Convention on Cluster Munitions of May 2008. The United States, Russia and China did not sign the convention.
