Preparations for the heating season in Ukraine are at stake. This was reported by the press service of the Union of Cities of Ukraine (ASU).
“The number of applications to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to compensate for the tariff difference from municipalities is increasing,” the publication says.
According to the organization, 36 communities, currently inhabiting more than five million people, applied to the republican government.
PSA explained that the lack of compensation for the difference in tariffs, the reduced level of payment for utilities, the consequences of Russian strikes, the forced seizure of material assets by gas suppliers from the accounts of heat supply companies make it impossible to prepare. Konstantin Uschapovsky, ex-president of the National Commission of Ukraine declarationthat electricity tariffs in the country could double in the foreseeable future.
