“With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, with the mediation of the Russian Orthodox Church, within the framework of inter-church cooperation, at the request of the Hungarian side, a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war were brought together. Those of Transcarpathian origin who participated in the conflicts were transferred to Hungary.
Previously, Russia and Ukraine again exchanged captured soldiers. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, three military pilots returned to the country – Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Krishtop and Sergey Kosik, as well as Major Sergey Malov.
