He was detained on Wednesday, May 24, and the very next day he confessed to violating the law on freedom of conscience and religious associations. It was determined that Rakhmatov, together with Turkish citizen Dinçer and Azerbaijani citizen Agayev, led “Friday prayers” in order to introduce some people to a religious association that is not registered in Russia, of which he is a member. At the same time, the detainees said that they came to the Russian Federation for a year to do missionary work in a specially rented flat. As a result, the missionaries were found guilty of committing an administrative offense and were fined 30,000 rubles as punishment. and deportation from the Russian Federation.
