Employers choose five lifehacks for employee development in 2022

Employee development is a move from point A to point B, Unisender CEO Maxim Solovyov told socialbites.ca. This process should be based on a personal development plan (PDP) that every employee should have upon arrival at the company.

In his opinion, PDP not only disciplines, but also helps to evaluate the development of an employee – this indicator goes together with the culture of goal-setting, that is, the setting of a goal for further success.

“Then comes the hygiene of the whole process: orderliness and discipline. You need to define the breakpoint explicitly. For example, you add a deadline between 4 PM and 6 PM on a Thursday, and the employee understands how much time he has to complete the scheduled task. It is important to understand why the employee needs it,” he said.

The specialist draws attention to the “win – win strategy” when an employee gets better, sees more demand and increases his price in the market. This benefits not only the employee himself, but also the company: a highly qualified specialist realizes himself with the company, bringing more benefits and money.

“Development motivation is reinforced by team spirit. The employee must understand that not only is he not improving, the rest of the team is also stagnant. “Solovyov lives in a culture of continuous improvement, where everyone is focused on getting better, solving more complex tasks, focusing on bigger projects,” said Solovyov.

Leaders need to foster a “Knowledge Sharing” culture: hold meetings where leaders discuss how they conduct recruiting, what questions they use to test appropriate competencies.

“Make sure you consider feedback from the leader, the team, and most importantly the market. Help the employee complete successful projects in cases, send them to conferences, and get positive feedback on the work he’s done to motivate him to do more complex things.

The start of 2022 has proven the need to elevate the adaptive competencies of employees. Professionals must be able to adapt to highly uncertain situations and respond quickly to a changing reality. Solovyov concluded that what you should focus on in situations like these is speed of reaction and flexibility.

It was previously reported that the company’s employees in India are allowed to sleep at work. https://www.socialbites.ca/social/news/2022/05/06/17696522.shtml
