The press service of the head of the Udmurt Republic and his government reported that a regime of high alert was introduced in the city of Glazov and nearby settlements due to the highly pathogenic avian flu. It has been reported “Kommersant”.
In addition to Glazov, the high alert zone included the villages of Shtanigurt, Polynga, Kolevay, Maly Ludoshur and Lekshur in the Glazov region, located within a radius of 5 km from the city.
In these places it is prohibited to: import and export birds and hatching eggs; engage in the purchase and export of feed for birds; bird walking care; selling birds, organizing exhibitions and fairs where birds and animals are exhibited; hunting birds (except census control).
The publication states that from the morning of May 6, the city commission will begin conducting home inspections in private households to clarify the presence of poultry. In quarantine zones, they will be confiscated from their owners to be paid from the district budget.
Previously, the veterinary service selected pathological material from several dead seagulls in the South Lake area in Glazov.
