Polish PM complains about difficult times over sanctions against Russia

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke of difficult times due to anti-Russian sanctions

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the country’s economy is going through difficult times due to sanctions against Russia. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the prime minister, anti-Russian restrictions also affect Europe. “This influence is bad for the wallets of ordinary citizens all over Europe and also in Poland at the same time,” Morawiecki lamented.

Poland’s prime minister also drew attention to the rise in energy prices, adding that it “loses the wallets of Poland and other European citizens”. In addition, Moravetsky said, Russia and Ukraine are major exporters of food products, grain, wheat, which affects food prices.

In mid-March, Poland announced that it was refusing to buy new gas from Russia. The representative of the Polish government indicated that the multi-year contract for gas supplies from Russia, which expires this year, will not be renewed.
