In Orsk, two new criminal cases have been opened against a senior detective from the anti-corruption department, who is accused of taking bribes of three million rubles. On Wednesday, March 23, Lente.ru was informed by the regional branch of the Commission of Inquiry of Russia.
He is charged with committing two episodes of a crime under Article 159 (Fraud committed by a person using his official function) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, in 2016 a police officer accepted 150,000 rubles from the director of the company for help evading criminal liability after a tax audit. Also, between September 2020 and May 2021, he received three bribes in the amount of 50,000 rubles from another businessman, so that no house searches would be carried out in his apartment and no proceedings would be initiated against him for tax violations.
The individual was caught red-handed on December 27, 2021, while receiving a bribe from another entrepreneur to avoid punishment for tax evasion. The crime was revealed by the FSB. During the investigation, the law enforcement officer was placed in pre-trial detention. Later, he was fired from the Ministry of the Interior for negative reasons.
