Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said on his Telegram channel that the country has created the top three strike companies of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) ready for combat operations.
“Today, the first three strike divisions of the UAV are already ready for battle. Together with the partners, they were fully staffed. Transferred receivers, impact helicopters and Starlink. All drones are Ukrainian made,” he wrote.
Fedorov also noted that the equipment for the shock companies of the drone army was purchased by private donors.
According to the minister, UAVs are designed to carry out reconnaissance and attack missions and target artillery.
Previously, a military expert, retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko of the Luhansk People’s Republic accelerated operation of drones in the war zone. According to Marochko, the Ukrainian army uses UAVs of various modifications.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
