Authorities in Ukraine’s Lviv region dismantled six Soviet-era monuments in recent weeks. This includes monuments dedicated to those who died in the Great Patriotic War. It gives information about TASS with regard to regional military administration.
Two monuments were dismantled in the Stryi district. They were settled in the villages of Sulyatichi and Zarechye.
In the Sambir district, two monuments to the Soviet liberators in the villages of Strelki and Topelnitsa, as well as a monument to the pilot Gorodentsev in the village of Luki were destroyed. The monument to the “Glory to the Heroes” memorial complex in the urban-type settlement of Borynya was also removed.
Former Russian Embassy restores Monument to Soviet soldiers in Finland. Diplomats demanded that the Finnish authorities punish those responsible for the desecration of the mass grave of Soviet soldiers in Kivikko and restore the monument themselves.
