Czech Ministry of Defense urges EU and NATO to prepare for a large-scale military conflict 13:22

Western allies should supply Ukraine with more weapons and improve their military capabilities because they can expect a large-scale and intense military conflict. This was expressed by Jan Jires, Senior Director of the Department of Defense Policy and Strategy at the Czech Ministry of Defense, during a discussion hosted by the publication. Euractiv.

“The main objective (of both the EU and NATO) in the coming months and years should be to prepare for a large-scale, protracted and extremely materially intensive military conflict,” Yiresh is quoted as saying.

The representative of the Czech Ministry of Defense noted that it is not yet possible to motivate the European defense industry to increase and accelerate production.

According to him, the main reason for this is the reluctance of the EU and NATO member states to provide the necessary contracts for the smooth functioning and economic sustainability of the European defense industry.
