Most Germans believe that the German government should be more active in advancing peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted for the journal by the Civey sociological institute. Der Spiegel.
According to the research, 63% of respondents are in favor of negotiations. At the same time, 21% of the respondents do not want the German government to spread the idea of peace negotiations.
At the same time, 42% of respondents believe that Ukraine’s goal in the negotiations should be a return to the 2014 borders, where Crimea was reunited with Russia. However, 33% of respondents think that Kiev should insist on the borders before the start of special operations. 17% believe that the Ukrainian side should make territorial concessions.
On the other hand, 22% of the respondents think that Ukraine should end hostilities as soon as possible.
The survey was conducted this week, about 5 thousand people participated.
