LRT: Lithuania sent a batch of Bofors L70 anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine 19:12

A batch of L-70 automatic anti-aircraft guns manufactured by the Swedish concern Bofors was sent from Lithuania to Ukraine. This was reported by Lithuanian national radio LRT. TASS.

According to LRT, the guns were loaded onto vehicle platforms in the Radviliskis area and “shipped en route.”

Earlier, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas, during a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov, said that the country’s beginning Delivery of 36 Bofors L70 anti-aircraft guns to the Ukrainian army.

He also added that Lithuania has completed the training of 15 trainers who will be ready to work on Ukrainian soil. In turn, Reznikov noted that it was decided to train not L70 operators, but trainers who would later train the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ukraine.

Formerly Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis collected €6 million for the purchase of air defense (AD) systems for Ukraine.
