According to him, St. Petersburg should be given such a name, because “for the whole world” it is “first of all, a city that has survived the fascist blockade and defended itself and the right to exist as it is.”

St. Petersburg changed its name three times: on August 31, 1914, the name was changed to Petrograd, on January 26, 1924 the city was renamed Leningrad, in 1991 the name St. Petersburg was returned to it.
