Slovak Ministry of Defense plans to hand over MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine

The head of Slovakia’s Ministry of Defense, Yaroslav Nagy, said the country plans to send Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

We are ready to discuss the transfer of these planes to Ukraine,” he said.

He explained that a decision is currently awaited from the government and that the planes are currently at one of the bases in Slovakia.

Previously, the press secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Defense Martina Koval-Kakashchikova statedthat the country is ready to supply Ukraine with T-72 tanks on the condition that it receives in return modern armored vehicles of Western manufacture.
