Last week, it became known that a group of State Duma deputies prepared a bill on the complete ban on the work of collection agencies in Russia. According to a survey by SuperJob, a high-paying job search service, 8 out of 10 Russians would approve of such a bill.
“socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.
Most often, Russians experience hostility to collectors (44% admit it) and irritation (30%). Indifference to those who demand repayment of debts on duty is characteristic of every fifth (19%), distrust – of every sixth (16%). In the 10 years since the SuperJob study, Russians have become more likely to experience negative feelings about debt collection professionals.
8 out of 10 Russians (79%) support a bill submitted by LDPR deputies to the State Duma to ban collection agencies in Russia. Also, among those with experience in lending, there are those who are more in favor of banning the activities of collection agents. According to respondents, such organizations operate in “illegal and quasi-criminal methods.”
Only 4% of respondents oppose this initiative.
In an explanatory note to the bill to be specifiedwe are talking about organizations that operate mainly for the return of overdue debts. Parliamentarians also called for a ban on creditors from involving third parties, which would force debtors to repay the money.
