The first departments of the children’s and youth association “First Movement” in Russia were opened in the genius school No. 1 in the Kherson region and at the local medical faculty. TASS.
It was noted that the initiative to create a branch was supported by the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kravtsov. The minister personally participated in the inauguration of one of the first branches of the movement. He remembered that the school was founded in 1939, before the Great Patriotic War.
“Sunny, beautiful school, great teachers work here. Today, the first cell of the Russian children’s and youth movement is being formed in your school. [«Движение первых»]’ added the minister.
In parallel, it was opened in Moscow, Artek and Orlyonok. At the same time, another department was opened at the local medical school.
“The task of the movement is that the initiatives you have, we adults, <...> can apply,” Kravtsov stressed.
Earlier, Kravtsov said that branches of the new Russian children’s organization “First Movement” will begin to open in schools from December 19.
Participants of the first congress of the Russian children’s and youth movement on December 18 grasped Final vote for name selection. The “Move of the First” option received the most votes – it was chosen by 760 participants. This was announced by one of the founders of the movement, a deputy of the State Duma, Mikhail Kiselev, chairman of the board of the organization “Russian student teams”.
