In The Cycle: Frontier, resources are essential for upgrading the cabin and boosting weapon stats. Players can also exchange these resources for credits at fractional stores. This guide explains where to locate every resource in the game and points to an interactive map that marks their locations.

What resources exist in The Cycle: Frontier and how to spot ore deposits on the interactive map

There are four primary types of currency or materials earned from deposits:

  1. Nickel
  2. Titanium ore
  3. Well‑being
  4. Focusing crystal

These minerals vary in rarity. Titanium ore, weltecite, and the focus crystal are among the rarest and tend to appear in distinct regions across the map.

To locate deposits, players carry a Mineral Scanner. This device scans nearby areas and reveals ore deposits, which appear as a white circle on the screen.

It should be noted that minerals come in subspecies. They can be ordinary, pure, changed, or unmixed. A single deposit may host several subspecies at once.

Using the interactive map helps players quickly pinpoint mineral-rich zones.

Where nickel is found

Nickel deposits typically display a light green hue that stands out from a distance. The nickel ore is marked on the interactive map as Nickel Vein, making it identifiable even without a mineral scanner.

Nickel appears in various terrain, including areas like clear sand and prominent map regions such as Crescent Falls, where it can be observed in distinct formations integral to early scouting trips.

Where titanium ore can be located

Titanium ore is a relatively scarce resource. On Bright Sands, it is more frequently encountered, while Crescent Falls also hosts some deposits, though they are fewer in number. For that reason, explorers are encouraged to begin their search on Bright Sands for higher odds of finding titanium.

The Bright Sands site features a standout mining zone called the Abandoned Mine, located toward the northern portion of the map. Access requires locating a key, and once inside, players should brace for potential encounters, as mining hotspots often attract other players seeking valuable ore.

Where to locate Weltecite

Weltecite serves multiple purposes: it upgrades the cabin and is also used in item creation. Uniquely, Weltecite is split into several subspecies concurrently, unlike other minerals.

On the Bright Sands map, Weltecite appears near waterfalls and around reservoirs. A practical starting point is Swamp Camp, followed by moving upriver toward a notable base camp to broaden the search radius.

Weltecite deposits are also found on Crescent Falls, with frequent sites around the Spaceport Landing Lot and the Nutron Farms Warehouse, where ore pockets are common and easier to access.

Where to find the focus crystal

The Focus Crystal stands as the rarest resource in The Cycle: Frontier. Its deposits are located in high-risk zones. On Bright Sands, look for crystals near locations like the Crashed Ship and Jungle Camp points of interest, where danger tends to be higher and rewards greater.

The strongest adversaries dwell in these areas, so traveling solo is often discouraged. Deposits are subtle and can be easy to miss without scanning or careful observation.

On Crescent Falls, Focus Crystals are dispersed through the Cliff Lab, Slums, and the regions between Nutron Farms Production and Fallen Tree zones.

Additional resources

Explorers can use the interactive map to plan routes, compare resource densities, and decide where to prioritize mining efforts across different maps and zones.
