Background: EA reveals Star Wars Jedi: Survivor unfolds five years after the fall of the order. The central figure Cal Kestis seeks concealment and travels with his crew across diverse worlds. According to journalist and insider Nick Baker, players may meet a familiar character from the films during their journey, the former Sith Darth Maul.
Baker cautions that the news should be treated with care. He first heard of a possible Darth Maul appearance about a year ago, but the development team has since adjusted their plans.
Additionally, in 2021 Ray Park, the actor who portrayed the character, hinted at Maul’s potential return.
From a canon perspective, the storyline aligns with the idea that Darth Maul survives and continues to play a role beyond the duel with Obi-Wan. The character has appeared in multiple Star Wars animated series and in a standalone project centered on Han Solo, reinforcing his ongoing presence in the saga.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is slated for a 2023 release. The game will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Heads up!
