How to quickly obtain stone at the start of the game
Initially, stone must be gathered by hand. Look around for small rocks scattered across the terrain. When a workbench is built, players can craft a pickaxe to extract resources from rock deposits more efficiently.
To craft a pickaxe, the right technologies must be unlocked and the following resources spent:

- Wood (5)

There are simpler methods to extract stone in Palworld that differ from the standard pickaxe. After completing the first training segment and raising the base level to seven, a more efficient stone-working method becomes available.
Reaching base level seven unlocks additional technology points. These can be used to access new crafting recipes and strengthen the base. It is at this level that the technology tree opens a path called Career.
That path enables certain tools to program animals to mine stone with minimal effort and no wasted time. It is highly recommended to set up this feature on the base and obtain the necessary firing components for the task.
