Need for Speed Unbound gets Volume 2 update with new cars and challenges

Electronic Arts has unveiled the first content patch for Need for Speed Unbound. The Volume 2 update is scheduled to release on March 21 for PC and consoles, bringing fresh content and extended gameplay options.

The patch introduces two new vehicles: the Lotus Emira Balmain Edition and the Nissan Fairlady ZG 1971, the latter available to EA Play subscribers. Players will also find 15 new challenges and 40 daily challenges, along with a slate of events and customization items including effects, stickers, and pose options to personalize rides and riders alike.

Additionally, a paid add on called Keys to the Map will mark the locations of all map collectibles. The update highlights 260 collectibles in total, consisting of 100 bears, 80 pieces of street art, and 80 billboards, as well as 160 activities scattered across the map for players to discover.

There is also mention of the Fury & Zen Apparel Set tied to Need for Speed Unbound arriving alongside the update, giving fans new outfits to wear while racing through the game world.

Meanwhile some readers might recall new screenshots teased for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and a familiar meme clip featuring dancing crabs from Crab Rave making a playful nod in associated chatter.
