Moon Studios (ORI series) announced the release of the second major update for No Rest for the Wicked. The update was announced in January and is now available to players worldwide.

The details of the update The Breach:

  • The update is the biggest expansion for No Rest for the Wicked.
  • The storyline continues. New locations are introduced, totaling twice as many as before, and none of these areas relies on procedural generation.
  • Several new enemies arrive and two additional weapon types join the arsenal — gloves and magical gauntlets. The combat system grows deeper with fresh options, including a strike unlocked from a sprint.
  • Difficulty scales higher. Any map area can become a plague hub. New adversaries appear there, and defeating them grants a special resource that raises the overall challenge level.
  • Character progression sees improvements. Loot now better matches the player’s level, and the enchanting system gains new ways to upgrade equipment.
  • A new rarity tier for weapons appears. The shield mechanics are revised, making shields more situational and less routinely used.
  • A one-life mode is introduced. When a character dies, players return to the standard game world.
  • Storage and hoarding features receive updates. Storage in the hero’s home becomes more accessible and crates are redesigned to be more spacious.
  • Players can now eat multiple dishes in sequence, but the amount of food that can be eaten during battle is limited.
  • Building speed can be accelerated by spending food, giving players ways to progress faster during a session.
  • Performance improvements and a new DLSS build are included to enhance visuals and frame rates.

In total, the update includes around 11,000 changes. The next update will finish the plot and bring new features, including cooperative play.

At the start of March, No Rest for the Wicked was not available on Steam in the Russian region. The game was listed at 1,700 rubles.
