Chapter (Series) 1: Secrets of the Ancient Earth

Past. Five years ago. An Earthly clerical hub set in old times.

In a pivotal scene, Orvon and Storcia attempt to escape their pursuers. They exploit a barrier that collapses in an instant, forcing a rapid retreat.

Present. Caesar’s planet.

The player character examines statues of former emperors alongside Caesar as a companion voice guides the moment.

  • Why are you showing them to me? – no impact;
  • Appreciation for the historical context – +1 Mercy ;
  • Spare me this – +1 Cruelty .

Past. Five years ago. Preparations for a raid on the clergy base.

When the hero awakens, Boman stands nearby, surprised by the events of the previous day.

Choice (does not affect stats): “I…”

  • Of course I remember;
  • I do not remember;
  • Did something bad?

Boman explains that nothing harmful occurred. The player may ask for more details.

Choice (you can select all options; the last one ends the dialogue): “Boman …”

  • Where are the others? — They are ready to move;
  • What about the spiritual basis? – On the spot;
  • How long have I been out? – Three days;
  • Probably… (Continue).

Choice: “Maybe…”

  • I should thank you – +1 Grace ;
  • You must report my awakening to the mistress – +1 Cruelty ;
  • (start collecting quietly) – no effect.

Left alone, the protagonist displays the traits tailored by the player’s earlier choices.

  • Path of High Honor: The hero resolves to fight, gather strength, stand tall, and breathe with purpose;
  • Path of low honor: The hero feels overwhelmed and powerless.

Remark: While on the move, the banner flashes show how decisions shape leadership and perception, with tags such as “The main character is the leader of the frumentarians” or “The leader’s presence inspires the crowd.”

Remark: In other routes, the markers may read that the protagonist did not become a frumentary leader and that audience impact was minimal.

Way of Mercy

The player’s character displays mercy.

Choice: “Marking…”

Path of cruelty

The player’s character displays cruelty.

Choice: “Marking…”

Paulina suggests returning to discuss the surgery, while Labelle backs her. Mark quickly updates the team and mentions the old clergy base. The mission is to uncover valuable intel, maps, or passwords. Mark provides a small device and Hotch offers to teach its use.

Choice (does not affect attributes): “…”

  • I didn’t pull your tongue;
  • Are you sure you can handle it?
  • (To nod).

  • Path of High Honor: “On the path of High Honor, the hero thinks about the safety of others.” You feel anger at Mark’s words and worry for friends.
  • Path of low honor: “On the path of low honor, the hero focuses on personal safety.” You breathe a sigh of relief as Hotch jokes about not wanting to die.

Choose clothes (does not affect stats):

  • Normal armor – 22 diamonds;
  • Power armor – 27 diamonds;
  • Reflex armor – 27 diamonds;
  • Ancient armor is free.

If old armor is chosen, Mark disapproves. Choice: “Maybe wear something else?”

  • (Think again) – return to armor choice;
  • (Stop this) – save the changes.

Choose hair and headpiece:

  • Winter cold – 9 diamonds;
  • Cybernetic – 22 diamonds;
  • Abyss – 22 diamonds;
  • Sharp fang – free.

Choice: “It seems good. Or perhaps…”

  • “Think more?” – return to hairstyle and headgear selection;
  • “No, everything is fine” – save the changes.

Remark: A heavy sword increases attack; a light sword permits faster maneuvering.

Choice of sword (does not affect current stats but may matter later):

  • New sword – 9 diamonds;
  • Heavy sword – 22 diamonds;
  • Lightsaber – 22 diamonds;
  • Normal sword is free.

Choice: “It seems good. Or perhaps…”

  • “Think More?”;
  • “No, everything is fine”.

When the squad moves out, Hotch asks why Mark, who can control the scarium, did not handle all base threats alone.

Choice: “To me…”

  • “Worth Asking Mark” – 22 diamonds. +1 Honor ;
  • “It seems she will not reveal anything” – a missed opportunity.

Remark: If a diamond-paid option is chosen, a plate appears in one of two forms.

  • Path of High Honor: “Decisions make the hero responsible for expedition members”;
  • Path of low honor: “Decisions center the hero on personal safety.”

Remark: The following forks emerge only on a romance route with a specific character.

Choice (an affair with one of the characters): “…”

  • The first option costs 22 diamonds and triggers a kiss scene;
  • The second option has no effect.

Clergy base approaches. The group prepares for action later in the night.

Before the clerics’ base entrance, the team reaches Mark. A howl from the ventilation shafts is heard, and Mark notes that the anirobots have become a pack of wolves.

  • Why wasn’t the package named? -1 Honor ;
  • Let’s address them with restraint – no effect;
  • Smart choice. Clerics did not misjudge the guards – +1 Honor .

Remark: Depending on choices, one of two signs appears: the group reveals a clear leader or the group lacks a definite leader.

Choice: “We should…”

  • Dismantle clog – +1 Power ;
  • Climb on the roof – +1 Dexterity .

Note: The narrative remains focused on strategic moves and team dynamics as the mission unfolds.
