FromSoftware has begun actively shaping new projects, a shift evident in the latest recruitment patterns and team expansions. An insider and data miner named Kurakasis, known for previously floating ideas about a new Mafia entry and a mobile Destiny, now offers fresh details about the studio’s forthcoming title.

The informant notes that before the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, the studio was already developing a project codenamed CL. The dataminer observes that CL is probably an acronym for a longer title. For context, Elden Ring itself carried the file name Great Rune, often shortened to GR in internal documentation.

“FromSoftware was working on something codenamed CL before the Elden Ring DLC. I have not found any information indicating that the Elden Ring expansion has a different codename than the base game, GR, the Great Rune, so it is possible that CL is a new game from the studio.”

The company has not publicly hinted at details for any upcoming project. Fans remain hopeful that FromSoftware will revisit beloved series such as Bloodborne or Armored Core.

Earlier reports highlighted a striking achievement in Elden Ring, where a player completed both the base game and its expansion without taking any damage during play.

InZOI has reached its twentieth anniversary, a milestone that outlets including VG Times have highlighted this year.
