The founder and head of 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, has announced her departure from the studio and Microsoft. She explains that she is facing health-related challenges in her family and will step away to focus on those concerns.

I am deeply proud of the work 343 Industries has delivered with Halo Infinite, the Master Chief Collection, the Halo TV series, and more. It has been an honor to serve alongside the team for the past 15 years and to be part of a universe I love.

Bonnie Ross led the Halo franchise for 15 years and spent 27 years at Microsoft. In response, Phil Spencer expressed gratitude for her contributions to the development of the Xbox and Halo ecosystems.

Ross’s duties will be distributed among three leaders. Pierre Hintze has been named the new head of the studio. Bryan Koski will oversee the Halo franchise operations, while Elizabeth Van Wyck will manage the business side of the operation.
