Xiaomi has unveiled a high‑power wireless charger designed for today’s smartphones, delivering up to 80 watts of power while maintaining quiet operation through an integrated cooling system. This development was highlighted by the GizmoChina portal.
The device is named the Xiaomi 80W Lift-Type Air-Cooled Wireless Charger and is compatible with Xiaomi handsets as well as other brands that support the Qi wireless charging standard. It aims to deliver fast, efficient charging across a broad ecosystem of devices.
Charging power varies by device model. For instance, some phones draw 7.5 watts from compatible iPhones, while Samsung and other brands can access around 10 watts. Supported smartphones include current flagship Xiaomi models such as the Mi 9 series and newer, the Redmi K60, as well as iPhone 8 and later generations, plus Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S7 Edge, among others that support Qi wireless charging.
The charger features a dual‑coil design capable of delivering enough power to replenish the large 5300 mAh battery found in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in roughly 49 minutes. The package includes the charger itself, a 120W power adapter, and a 6‑amp Type‑C cable. An emphasis is placed on the built‑in, low‑noise air cooling system, which helps prevent overheating during extended charging sessions.
Currently, the Xiaomi 80W Lift-Type Air-Cooled Wireless Charger is available in China with a price tag of 499 yuan, roughly equivalent to about 6,300 rubles at the prevailing exchange rates.
