A recent tally of top 5G smartphones over a certain price threshold shows that Xiaomi devices occupy the leading spots, with their models priced above four thousand yuan, roughly forty thousand rubles, dominating the segment. The company revealed this ranking in a social media post from its CEO, Lei Jun.
The list, said to be compiled by the largest Chinese carrier, China Mobile, places Xiaomi at the forefront of the market. Specifically, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is ranked first, while the Xiaomi 12S Pro follows closely behind, underscoring Xiaomi’s strong emphasis on high-end photography capabilities in this generation.
During the same communication, Lei Jun highlighted user satisfaction metrics collected across the lineup, noting that 98 percent of buyers of the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra express happiness with their devices. The leadership also pointed out that satisfaction with the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is nearly universal, approaching full endorsement among its users.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra marks a milestone for the company as its photographic system was developed in collaboration with Leica, the renowned German camera maker. This partnership signals Xiaomi’s strategic push to distinguish its flagship through advanced imaging capabilities and premium hardware co-created with Leica engineers.
Earlier industry outlets reported that the initial introduction of flagship models such as the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, featuring Leica sensors, occurred in China, signaling a continued emphasis on camera performance as a core differentiator in Xiaomi’s premium line.
