VK Education is rolling out a no-cost training program aimed at students pursuing IT and digital specialization tracks. This initiative is announced in the company’s official message and marks a significant step toward broadening access to practical tech skills for the next generation of professionals in North America and beyond.

For the autumn season, VK Education is expanding its reach with six study areas and nineteen open courses. The lineup spans artificial intelligence, data analytics, software development, information security, creative disciplines, and product management. The aim is to provide a mix of technical depth and creative problem-solving that aligns with current industry needs and future trends, helping learners build a robust foundation as they transition from education to work.

Several programs will be accessible to all learners regardless of prior affiliation. These courses will run asynchronously and will include open lessons on the VK Video platform, allowing flexible schedules and self-paced progress. This approach reflects a growing shift toward online, scalable education that supports busy students and working professionals who are enhancing their digital skill sets.

The program also offers a pathway for the standout graduates to pursue trainee and junior roles within VK’s team. This creates a direct connection between learning and real-world opportunities, allowing motivated individuals to demonstrate capability and grow within a major tech organization.

In 2024, VK Education will pilot cross-campus collaborations. For the first time, several university curricula will incorporate VK Education programs, linking classroom study with industry-grade training. Teachers will be drawn from VK’s own expertise pool as well as partner university faculties, creating a blended teaching model that leverages practical insights alongside academic foundations. The goal is to enrich the student experience by integrating practical software development and data-focused instruction into established degree programs.

Additionally, students from major Russian institutions, including the Bauman Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, MIPT, MSU, MAI, ITMO and others, will have the chance to participate in joint programs hosted at their universities. The courses cover a range of roles such as Android mobile development, algorithms and data structures, front-end development, iOS mobile development, Web development, and specialized initiatives like Tarantool Lab. This collaboration emphasizes hands-on practice, project-based learning, and the opportunity to earn credentials tied to industry needs.

There is a growing recognition among young people that soft skills matter as much as technical prowess when starting a professional career. The program language and structure acknowledge that successful tech careers require clear communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving—qualities that employers value across sectors. By weaving soft skills into the curriculum alongside hard technical content, VK Education aims to prepare students not only to code but to collaborate effectively, lead projects, and adapt to rapid changes in technology ecosystems. The initiative positions soft skills as a practical complement to technical training, underscoring their role in long-term career development and workplace success.
