Telegram Messenger Update 9.3 Brings Private Media, Cache Control, and Editing Upgrades
The latest Messenger release, version 9.3, ships with a blend of privacy enhancements, memory management improvements, and a refreshed toolkit for media editing. The update focuses on giving users more control over their files, while also polishing everyday tasks in chat and media workflows.
One standout feature is the ability to send hidden media. Similar to how spoiler formatting hides text, photos and videos can now be sent with a translucent cover. The content remains concealed until the recipient taps the file, revealing what lies beneath the cover. This approach supports privacy in shared media by allowing you to control when a viewer sees the content.
Another practical addition is enhanced memory management. The update lets users dictate how often the app clears cache from different chat categories, such as private conversations, groups, and channels. This gives more granular control over how device storage is used, helping avoid surprises when storage is running low while keeping frequently accessed content ready for quick viewing.
The photo editor has received notable improvements. Lines now straighten automatically when using the brush, and line thickness adapts to the speed of your finger. A new blur brush helps reduce distracting details, and there is an updated tool for adding text that lets you choose the size, font, and background behind the text. For those sending photos and videos without a Telegram Premium subscription, you can also incorporate stickers and animated emojis directly into your edits.
Privacy and visibility options have been expanded as well. Users can designate certain photos as public to be seen only by a selected circle, while another option allows manually setting photos for specific individuals. This combination of controls supports more nuanced sharing preferences within chats and groups.
Additional enhancements include the ability to hide members in large groups, new Android animations, and the introduction of animated and interactive emojis. These touches aim to enrich the overall user experience, making interactions feel more dynamic and expressive across messaging on Android and iOS devices alike.
Telegram update version 9.3 is already available on Android and iOS, ensuring a broad range of users can access these improvements promptly.
