A YouTube channel AppleTrack showcased high-quality renders of a budget iPhone SE 4 in a recent video, with expectations pointing to a release next year.
The visuals draw on late leaks suggesting the SE 4 will borrow a body design from the iPhone 14, but with notable changes. The device is expected to feature a frameless display, a Face ID facial scanner, a notchless top area nicknamed a “bang” instead of Dynamic Island, and a USB-C port. The back camera is described as a single 48-megapixel sensor, while the iPhone 14 lineup used a dual 12-megapixel arrangement.
Another key distinction between Apple’s more affordable option and the iPhone 14 family is the rumored action button, which has previously appeared on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Reports also point to the Apple A16 chip driving the SE 4’s performance, aligning with rumors about a boost in processing power for the budget model.
Forecasts place the SE 4’s price above that of its predecessor, attributed to upgrades such as Face ID, a modernized chassis, an OLED screen, and other features typically found in higher-end models.
Launch windows have fluctuated, with predictions pointing to a spring 2025 debut.
Earlier chatter noted an unexpected update from Apple, signaling that the company remains active in refreshing its midrange lineup and testing new hardware configurations for budget devices.
