Microsoft showcased Xbox Partner Preview titles, highlighting a curated lineup of STALKER classics brought to modern consoles. Reports from IGN were among those broadcast messages.
The ensemble is titled STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy. It gathers three games from the series with the subtitles “Shadow of Chernobyl,” “Clear Sky,” and “Call of Pripyat.” The complete collection carries a suggested price of $40, while individual titles can be purchased separately for $20 each. At the time of the announcement, the exchange rate placed these prices around 3.6 thousand rubles for the bundle and about 1.8 thousand rubles per game.
All titles are playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and also on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The console versions include text localization in Russian only.
According to the collection description from Microsoft, the development team at GSC Game World, with support from Mataboo, preserved every element of the original titles and faithfully ported them to contemporary hardware. This approach provides players with a solid introduction to the STALKER universe ahead of the anticipated release of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The statement notes the care taken to maintain the authentic atmosphere, ensuring the games feel faithful to their roots while taking advantage of current-generation capabilities.
The release window for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been announced as September 5, 2024. At launch, the title was slated to join a Game Pass catalog, broadening access for subscribers from day one and positioning STALKER 2 as a central pillar in Microsoft’s ongoing strategy to expand its first-party portfolio for subscribers.
Earlier communications indicated that a new game set in the Harry Potter universe was also in development, signaling a broad and ambitious slate for the franchise alongside existing STALKER projects.
