Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to debut in three color options, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is anticipated to arrive with four distinct finishes. This information comes from GizmoChina, which cites Ross Young, the renowned insider and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).
Speculation from Yang suggests the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be offered in dark blue, light pink, and silver. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is projected to come in blue, light green, silver, and yellow. These color possibilities are described as preliminary, with the understanding that Samsung could adjust the palette before the official launch, which remains several months away. GizmoChina also mentioned the potential for special colors to appear through Samsung’s official online store.
From a design viewpoint, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is said to bring meaningful changes, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is likely to retain a familiar silhouette with a few tweaks. The Fold 6 is described as adopting a boxier aesthetic reminiscent of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is expected to drop the built-in S Pen, becoming shorter and wider to achieve a more proportional display aspect ratio. By contrast, the Flip 6 is anticipated to differ mainly in its chassis thickness, signaling an increased battery capacity while preserving the flip-phone form factor.
Samsung is slated to unveil its new foldable smartphones in July 2024, a timing that aligns with prior industry cadence for flagship device introductions in the category.
