Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 is reportedly solving one of the longtime downsides of foldable screens: a prominent crease. This claim circulated after coverage on The Verge cited a video from the TechTalk TV YouTube channel, in which the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was showcased before its official unveiling.
The Verge observed that when the blogger set the device down, the fold line appeared nearly invisible in the video. This level of concealment is notable because earlier versions in the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold lines often displayed a visible crease, drawing attention to the display’s engineering trade-offs.
However, The Verge cautioned that the crease’s perceived visibility in a video may not fully reflect real-world conditions. Lighting, viewing angle, and the viewer’s perspective can significantly influence how conspicuous the fold line appears on screen.
Industry anticipation centers on an official launch slated for August, when Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 4 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Rumors and early previews have focused on refinements to the hinge mechanism, battery efficiency, and a refined display design aimed at reducing crease visibility while preserving the flexible form factor that defines the line.
It is worth noting that earlier rumors about display behavior have sometimes crossed into speculative territory. A separate report noted an apparent slip in an advertisement, where Samsung inadvertently highlighted a competing device. Such incidents often surface as part of pre-launch chatter and do not always reflect final product behavior or official specifications.
