Russian Console Market 2023: Steam Deck Leads Growth Amid Strong Sales for Sony, Nintendo, and Xbox

In terms of pricing and model popularity, Sony users showed strong demand for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. For other generations, the average prices on Avito stood at 22,500 rubles for new Xbox entries including Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series S, which represents a 15 percent year over year drop; PlayStation 5 averaged 44,100 rubles, down by about 27 thousand rubles; Xbox 360 averaged 7,300 rubles, down 16 percent; Xbox One at 14,400 rubles, down 15 percent; and Xbox Series S at 22,000 rubles, down roughly 16.5 percent.

Among boxed games, FIFA 23, God of War Ragnarok and Grand Theft Auto V led sales in the Russian Federation during 2023. God of War Ragnarok saw the largest rise with a 250 percent increase. UFC 4 and FIFA 23 also posted substantial gains, at 33 percent and 30 percent respectively.

Additionally, the market recorded notable interest in robotic dog toys, signaling broader consumer engagement beyond traditional consoles.
