Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, expanded its budget-friendly lineup with the Note 12 Turbo, featuring Qualcomm’s sub-flagship processor and up to 1 TB of storage. This information comes from a recent network briefing by Rozetked.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is built around a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel delivering Full HD+ clarity at a 120 Hz refresh rate. It achieves a peak brightness of about 1000 nits and showcases very slim bezels—thinner than those on the iPhone 14 in key measurements: top bezel around 1.42 mm, side bezels about 1.95 mm, and bottom bezel near 2.22 mm. The phone’s chassis is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 181 grams, contributing to a compact yet sturdy feel.
Under the hood, the device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 octa-core chipset, unveiled mid-March, delivering performance that in many scenarios rivals last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This positions the Note 12 Turbo as a strong option for users seeking high efficiency with solid multitasking capabilities without stepping into flagship territory.
Photography is led by a 64 MP main sensor, complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP macro module. The camera system benefits from In-Sensor Zoom and Xiaomi Imaging Brain 2.0 technologies, plus optical image stabilization to help keep shots steady in varying lighting and motion conditions.
Powering all-day usage is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 67 W fast charging, aiming to minimize downtime between sessions. The handset ships with Android 13 and the MIUI 14 skin, offering a tailored user experience with customization options and ongoing software updates.
In terms of storage and memory configurations, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is available in 8 GB RAM with 256 GB of storage and a higher configuration that pairs 16 GB of RAM with 1 TB of storage. Official price indications from Chinese markets place these variants around 2,000 to 2,800 yuan, translating to roughly 22,000 to 31,000 rubles when converted. Availability outside of China has not been confirmed, and regional rolls-out may vary depending on distributors and carriers.
As reported earlier, a separate conversation pointed to a crypto-focused Solana Mobile Saga smartphone slated to go on sale on an upcoming date. This note highlights the broader trend of expanding mobile offers across different price segments and use cases, from performance-first devices to specialized, crypto-enabled models, each aiming to capture distinct audience needs.
