Redmi Book Pro 2024: 14 and 16-inch Intel-powered laptops with advanced displays and ecosystem features

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Book Pro 2024 lineup, introducing 14 and 16 inch laptops powered by the latest Intel processors, as reported by 4pda.

The Redmi Book Pro 14 features a 14-inch 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of 400 nits. The screen is certified by TÜV Rheinland and supports Dolby Vision for enhanced visual quality.

Performance in this model comes from modern Intel Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processors with a 65 W TDP, paired with either 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of SSD storage. Xiaomi claims an 80 Wh battery capable of delivering up to 30 hours of use and compatibility with 100 W fast charging.

The Redmi Book Pro 16 upgrades to a 16-inch 3K display, featuring a 165 Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 500 nits. It also carries TÜV Rheinland certification, Dolby Vision support, and full coverage of the P3 color gamut.

Earlier variants retain similar Intel processors, but with a higher characteristic power draw at 70 W TDP. These versions are offered with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage. The larger model houses a 99 Wh battery that Xiaomi claims can last up to 27 hours and supports 140 W fast charging.

Both configurations use a three-channel cooling system with heat pipes and fans. They are integrated into the Xiaomi ThePaper OS ecosystem and support HyperOS Connect technology, which enables seamless interaction with other Xiaomi devices. Users can share data, run applications, extend the display, or use a smartphone or tablet as a mouse and keyboard, all within a single connected ecosystem.

Pricing for the Redmi Book Pro 14 base model with the Intel Ultra 5 125H starts at 4999 yuan (roughly 64,000 rubles). The 16-inch variant with the same processor, in the 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD configuration, begins at 5999 yuan (approximately 76,700 rubles) [source: 4pda].

Earlier reports also mentioned Xiaomi showcasing a satellite-enabled smartphone priced around 100,000 rubles, signaling the company’s broader push into connected devices beyond laptops [source: 4pda].
