A tech blogger from the YouTube channel Dame Tech conducted a test of Resident Evil 3 Remake on two flagship devices, the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The testing focused on how the game performs when run through an emulator, since there is no official Android version of the title. The aim was to compare performance across iOS and Android hardware under similar conditions and settings.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max, released earlier this year, ran Resident Evil 3 Remake via the GameFusion Emulator because there is no native Android port. The setup used identical graphics options at 720p to keep the comparison fair and meaningful for observers on both platforms.
Using the same graphic settings and 720p resolution, the results showed notable variation. The iPhone 16 Pro Max delivered a crisper image and averaged roughly 47 frames per second, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra lingered around 25 FPS under the same conditions.
Power draw and thermal readings reflected a different story: the iPhone 16 Pro Max pulled about 6.7 watts with surface temperatures near 37 C, whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra drew around 8.3 watts and warmed to about 46 C.
Nevertheless, the absence of a local Android port means this comparison is not fully representative, because starting the game through an emulator can significantly influence overall performance and thermal behavior.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is listed for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, as well as iPad and Mac models that use newer Apple silicon. Players can begin with a brief free trial and then opt to purchase the full game for continued play.
Market notes aside, the discussion around pricing and availability varies by region, and readers should check local listings for the latest information. The test focuses on device performance and emulator behavior rather than regional pricing quirks.
