Power Wash Simulator lands on more platforms with new content and expansions
Square Enix Collective and FuturLab are bringing a relaxed yet highly engaging vibe to Power Wash Simulator on Xbox Series X, with a release date set for June 13, 2023. The game will also be available in physical form for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Alongside this news, a free expansion titled Muckingham is scheduled to arrive on April 18, and a year-long roadmap promises ongoing content updates throughout 2023.
For players new to the concept, Power Wash Simulator lets you set up a virtual pressure-cleaning business, tackling grime and dirt in a wide range of environments. The title has drawn broad interest, particularly on PC where it achieved a strong reception on Steam and became one of the platform’s standout releases in 2022.
Cleaning delirium
Following the release of content tied to the Tomb Raider franchise, the game expanded with immersive scenarios that explore Lara Croft’s mansion in more detail, and it introduced a Special Midgar Pack from Final Fantasy VII. The update added special vehicles, fresh jobs, a revamped bar called 7th Heaven, and the Hardy-Daytona motorcycle, all designed to keep players engaged as they refill the pressure washer and continue the work in motion.
According to materials published in the Muckingham File, the adventure travels to Mauka Aitu, a desert setting where players will clean a solar power plant and a satellite dish. The action then shifts to a public park where a polluted gas truck threatens the surrounding green space. In line with this expansion and future developments in the Muckingham universe, new stories have been integrated into existing bonus missions that round out the current arc without extending the main storyline. The developers hint at bundles and updates through 2023 that will expand Muckingham and beyond, though specific dates are not announced yet.
