OnePlus Ace 3V debuts as a compelling mid range option with a new Qualcomm chipset and ring flash

OnePlus has unveiled its Ace 3V, a mid budget smartphone that blends strong performance with practical features. The device is built around the latest Qualcomm processor and a distinctive ring flash, a detail highlighted by early hands on coverage from the GSMArena team.

The display is a large 6.74 inch OLED panel delivering a sharp 2772 by 1240 pixel resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The camera system centers on a 50 megapixel main sensor from Sony, the IMX882, paired with an 8 megapixel ultra wide module to capture expansive scenes. A ring flash sits beneath the camera array to assist close up shots in lower light. For selfies, there is a 16 megapixel front facing camera.

Under the hood the Ace 3V gets power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, supported by high speed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This combination helps the device stand out in a crowded field by delivering snappy app launches, fluid multitasking and quick data access for games and media.

The battery capacity is 5500mAh and it supports up to 100W fast charging, which translates to rapid top ups when time is short. Other practical features include IP65 rated protection against dust and moisture, stereo speakers for richer media playback, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and an infrared port for remote control tasks. The smartphone ships with Android 14 and is promoted with a promise of updates through Android 17, offering extended software support for a mid range device.

In the Chinese market, the Ace 3V starts from around 2,000 yuan for the 12/256 GB configuration, a price point that positions it as a competitive option for buyers seeking strong value and modern internals without stepping into higher price brackets.

Meanwhile industry chatter has also touched on Xiaomi introducing a budget model with Leica photography heritage, underscoring a trend toward affordable smartphones that still emphasize camera capability and day to day performance.
