Odnoklassniki’s author monetization program has seen a noticeable boost in payments this year. The social network confirmed in its annual results that writer earnings from monetization increased across multiple channels, signaling stronger engagement and better revenue opportunities for creators on the platform.
From the start of the year, compensation from video monetization rose significantly, with payments up 5.5 times compared with the previous period. Monetization from feed monetization also doubled, while the average earnings per author grew by about 36 percent. In the most successful cases, top bloggers now bring in well over 150 thousand rubles per month, reflecting rising creator activity and audience reach.
OK has expanded its author ecosystem by launching two monetization programs, which has driven an increase in both the number of participating writers and the pool of unique bloggers. Additionally, the platform introduced its own line of original shows that highlight popular Russian hobbies, further enriching content offerings and opportunities for creators to connect with audiences.
Since the start of the year, the platform has seen a 45 percent rise in new groups and media delivering high-quality content. Hundreds of active bloggers have joined OK over the year, with the total number of creators growing by a factor of eleven. The company anticipates adding up to 2,000 authors to the platform by year-end, expanding both content variety and monetization potential for new and existing creators alike.
Groups on OK can monetize audience access through the platform’s monetization programs. The service continues to develop two primary streams of monetization: one tied to viewing posts in the feed and another tied to watching video content. The number of unique authors participating in both monetization streams has risen by more than sixty percent since the start of the year, signaling broad adoption across content formats and creator tiers.
In 2023, OK also rolled out a slate of original shows focused on widely loved hobbies. The flagship project, People Thrown, featured artist Sergey Burunov and attracted more than 90 million views on the network before later being broadcast on a national channel. During the summer, additional programs spotlighted popular Russian pastimes such as cooking, travel, sports, and pet care. Since the start of the year, OK has aired over 80 episodes across its own programs, contributing to a total view count that surpassed 400 million on the platform.
Recent coverage indicates ongoing momentum for Odnoklassniki’s content strategy and monetization roadmap, underscoring a broader push to empower creators while delivering engaging experiences to audiences across Russia and neighboring regions.
