Zotac has created a special indicator for GeForce RTX 50 video cards that will show the risk of fire in the video accelerator. The portal reports this without video card.
It is stated that GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards are equipped with a 16-pin power connector, like the previous RTX 40 series, and this often causes problems due to incorrect connection by users.
To achieve this, Zotac added additional safety measures by installing an LED near the power connector called the Safety Light, which indicates that the power plug is connected correctly.
The indicator will glow green if the connection is correct, and the indicator will glow red if the connection is missing, which was one of the main causes of the RTX 5090 fire.
Additionally, another security improvement has been made to the Zotac video card connector. Thus, the contacts inside the connector are plated with gold, which increases their resistance to corrosion and increases electrical conductivity.
