Apple has already identified the technology and supplier that will help it create the slim iPhone 17 Air. Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Air with an expensive and very thin screen
Taiwanese display chip manufacturer Novatek plans to begin mass producing OLED TDDI technology in the second quarter of 2025. Experts believe the production schedule may coincide with the release of 2025 iPhone displays. This allegedly suggests an association between the companies, though there has been no confirmation.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to have a thin body similar to that of the iPad Pro M4, which was introduced in the spring. It is OLED TDDI technology that enables Apple to produce a smartphone with a thin screen. This technology is also expected to be used in future iPads, Apple Watches, and foldable iPhones or iPads.
Rumor has it that the iPhone 17 Air, also known as the “Slim,” will be introduced in fall 2025. For design purposes, the smartphone has a 6.6-inch screen and only one rear camera. It is assumed that the iPhone 17 Air will cost more than the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The design and features of the flagship Xiaomi 15 Pro with Leica camera have already been revealed.
